The Story
"You're not just booking a ski trip. You're asking someone to get this right."
I grew up racing on snow in Norway — two podium finishes at the Norwegian Junior National Ski Championships, training alongside the Junior National Ski Team. Skiing wasn't a hobby. It was how I understood the world.
After racing, I spent close to two decades in online travel and commercial media, before completing an MBA in Global Hospitality Management at Les Roches in Crans-Montana, Switzerland. I know how travel businesses work — and more importantly, I know what separates a good experience from an extraordinary one.
My connection to Viking Heliskiing goes back further than this business. Jóhann and Björgvin are people I've known from the skiing world for years. When I first experienced what they'd built in Iceland, I knew I wanted to be part of it — not because it was a good commercial opportunity, but because it's genuinely one of the finest mountain experiences I've come across. Jóhann and Björgvin come from elite ski racing, and that perfectionism hasn't left them. It's what drives how they run this place, and why the hospitality here is genuinely unlike anything else in the mountains.
Viking Heliskiing is a small, focused operation built around quality over volume. I know the packages, the weeks, the conditions, and what kind of skier belongs on which trip. Booking through me costs you nothing extra — and you get someone who has skied with these people and will give you an honest answer about whether this trip is right for you.
